Our History


“It all started back in 1947 in Trahoni Kythreas as a small family business, out of love for traditional Cypriot dairy products. My grandfather used to get up very early in the morning to milk the cows. Heating up the milk on a wood burning stove was a unique preparation process, making the Halloumi tastier and with an unforgettable aroma of pure fresh milk and mint leaves. Over the years, Vrysaki has expanded and developed in line with increasing demand. In the 1950’s, we began exporting our Halloumi to the Middle-East, and our Halloumi has won many awards. As the business has been passed down from generation to generation, very little has changed in the effort and love that goes into the making of our Halloumi, just as my grandfather had done many years ago.”
